Old Oak Tree Hotel - South Kilvington

This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi, a bar area, and a children's menu. I'll never forget how the staff helped me find a lost jewel. I highly recommend it and am excited to return for Christmas.

The room was airy, and tidy, with iron and ironing board, a TV, and a sitting area.

We had SENSATIONAL breakfasts with non dairy "milk " and tasty vegan sausages, special mention to accommodating staff. Besides, the location was magnificent and handy for our stay, within 25 minutes' walk of World of James Herriot Museum.

Dust accumulation in rooms!!! Heating issues in rooms!!! Would love to see more equipment in the fitness area and better soundproofing for a quieter atmosphere at night!!!

Loved the pork belly noodles for starter followed by a well-cooked steak, hit home. I couldn't believe how accommodating the staff were, they moved our dinner reservation up just because we arrived early!

It wasn't exactly a budget-friendly stay, but you get what you pay for.

I was smitten by the separate chalet accommodation, giving me that peaceful retreat vibe! Plus, the riverside walk was perfect for a scenic stroll with my furry friend. Oh, those delicious meals made right from locally sourced ingredients? Total culinary bliss!

Lovely stay and fab food!

We had a blast ! The room was super spacious and cozy, perfect for our family. Our kids loved running around in the grassy area outside. Plus, there was a great selection of drinks in the cupboard! Only bummer was the pub filled up fast, so if you want to eat there, book breakfast for dinner! All in all, a solid stay.

The room was fab, with a cozy couch and tasteful decor. Enjoyed a lovely meal and a blissful night's sleep.

Excellent food and warm hospitality

The modern decor and comfortable furnishings made for a relaxing environment. The highlight of my stay was the delicious dinner, especially the locally sourced ingredients, and the friendly staff who went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant experience. One small area for improvement would be to offer more vegetarian options on the menu.

We had a wonderful time during our four-night stay, enjoying the spacious King Ensuite and the excellent breakfast spread every morning. The sun terrace and garden area offered a perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring. Just a heads up, the bathroom could use a little updating, but it didn't take away from our great experience! 😊

The room had a comfy sofa, tv, electric kettle, and a private bathroom with a shower. Free toiletries were stocked, and there was a towel rack. The dining offered homemade food, with local ingredients like Yorkshire ham, and breakfast included a variety of options, including fresh juices. The outdoor seating area had a lovely garden view.

Just a prime choice for a quick stopover in Thirsk with good value for cost. The owners were really accommodating and made me feel at home. If the weather is nice, enjoy the beautiful patio area.

Do recommend for resting at all

Comfortable room, friendly staff, offering a lovely terrace to enjoy a warm evening and delicious food, made our stay pleasant while being conveniently located near the scenic river walk and only 29 km from the nearest airport.

Not obvious to find

This hotel was amazin! The location is perfect n there's loads of free parking. The staff r super friendly n. Breakfast was well cooked n plenty of it, loved the huge room with a comfy sofa to sit on. Oh, n the mouseman furniture is a nice touch too!

The only downside was those milk pod things, some were off, kinda gross. It would be better if they had jugs of milk in the fridge instead.
